2018 in Review
2018 was good to Micah and me, there is no doubt about that. We did some serious traveling, beginning the year in Paris, spending a couple weeks in Spain, a trip here and there to Chicago, a quick jaunt to California to see family, and then ended the year skiing in Colorado.
It is the year that Micah became a captain for Envoy, we bought a beautiful new home, and I really focused on my health, cleaning up my diet and making exercise something I look forward to.
I also stepped outside my comfort zone, pushing myself to write more, carve this blog into what I want it to be, and started a podcast.
This year had some hard lessons, but it also revealed who and what is most important in my life. What I keep circling back to is this:
I have the best family and friends a girl could ever ask for (or even deserve—truly, I don’t deserve you all).
I have a deep need to create, even if it does make me vulnerable.
Travel is still what makes me feel most alive.
My health is a priority. That means feeding my body well and making it move every single day, even if it’s just a walk with George.
2018, thank you for the lessons and experiences. 2019, you have some big shoes to fill.
